| Shit Storm |
[Nov. 10th, 2009|01:24 pm] |
Some of you may recall a post I made several months ago in which I questinned the phrase "It was a literal shit storm".
Well I think I found the answer.
"If a predator bird enters the flock, the starlings initiate a veritable bombardment with droppings and vomit that soil the feathers of the predator. In rare cases the sticky deposits may render the predator unable to stay airborne. Over 20 years, there have been two confirmed cases of young Goshawks that drowned because the incident took place over water." |

I just watched a pretty intersting video that explains the American financial crisis. If you have an hour and twenty minutes to kill you may be interested in watching it. (The scary part starts around 1:05.

Due to popular demand (read: people(read: Alex) bitching) the question from my previous post is now retracted. Instead answer this:
What are your five favourite albums of all time, as of April 2, 2009?
Brand New - Fight Off Your Demons Death Cab for Cutie - Plans Radiohead - The Bends Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Went Numb Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
(Note: these list would probably change a little bit for all of us from week to week or month to month. The question mostly just relates to today though. Please don't feel you need to live with this for the rest of your life or that you're turning your back on one of your favorite albums. Aqua forgives me, I'm sure.) |

| A question for you. |
[Apr. 2nd, 2009|01:10 pm] |
I've been listening to a lot of the Explore Music podcasts lately and the host, Alan Cross, ends most of his interviews with the artists by asking them "if you had to get five albums for a 14 year old to introduce them to music, which five albums would you buy them?"
It got me to thinking, which 5 albums would I choose, and I still haven't quite worked that out yet. But I thought it would be a great question to ask to anyone who still reads this thing.
Which five albums would you choose? |

Maybe I'm missing something, but New York traffic is a bitch. Wouldn't it be faster for him to swing from building to building instead?
Bad investment Spiderman.

I just heard of this mashup: http://jaydiohead.com/imeem.php
Months behind I know, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. I recommend "No Karma" and "Dirt Off Your Android".
Let me know what you think. |

Thigs not to do:
"Reply all" to an office wide E-mail with, "I wish I knew about this sooner. I make a bad-ass chilli."
Write that down. It's very important you remember that. |
